Privacy policy

Effective July 30, 2026. This plain-language policy describes the data used to operate mentionpop.

Data we collect

We collect account and billing identifiers, newsletter email addresses submitted with consent, business details and prompts submitted for monitoring, product usage and security logs, and the AI/search responses needed to generate reports. We do not require sensitive personal information.

How we use it

We use data to provide scans and reports, process subscriptions, deliver requested service or newsletter email, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use client monitoring data to train our own model.

Service providers and transfers

Cloudflare hosts the application and database. DataForSEO processes monitoring prompts and responses; Perplexity may process selected validation requests when that optional feature is enabled. Dodo Payments processes billing, and Resend delivers transactional email. These providers may process data outside your country under their own terms.

Retention and security

We keep account data while the service is active and retain limited records afterward for billing, security, and legal needs. We use access controls, prepared database statements, capped raw payloads, and authenticated administrative routes, but no online service is risk-free.

Your choices

To request access, correction, or deletion, email [email protected]. Every newsletter message will include an unsubscribe option. We may retain records we are legally required to keep.
